Doc, May 2008

June 5th, 2008

This will be Doc’s third summer at The Home Ranch!  He is a big sorrell gelding, butdoc.JPG don’t let his size fool you, he is very gentle and has a large heart.  Doc is very responsive and enjoys going on All-Day rides.  He is very sure footed on the rocky mountain trails on these longer rides, but can’t wait to get to the open meadows and show you his smooth lope.  His favorite ride is Stegosaurus Rock.

If you get a chance to meet Doc, check out the great mustache Tayler just pointed out, it will have you laughing.

Home Ranch Wranglers & Conversant May 2008

June 5th, 2008

Conversant & Home Ranch WranglersWe started out our 2008 season with Conversant, a management leadership course based in Boulder, Colorado.  It was a great display of Colorado spring weather - snow, mud and sunshine.  We started out the week with snow on many of the high meadows and trails, Mother Nature then added another six inches on Monday, however we didn’t let that stop us.  With a little patience and perseverance we were able to get some loping in on the meadows by the end of week.  We were also rewarded with a large dose of sunshine on Friday.

We have a some new wranglers to introduce this summer; two of them are pictured above.  Chris Story and Blake Dobson are on the left.  We are all looking forward to a great summer and can’t wait to meet you all.

Two night stays this fall

May 31st, 2008

Beginning in mid October The Home Ranch wFall Foliageill offer two night stays at winter rates.  This is a great opportunity to see Colorful Colorado in the fall.  With cool, crisp mornings that turn into beautiful sunny blue bird skies and elk bugling in the distance, this could be one of your most memorable vacations.  You can go for a horseback ride with Tayler or one of her knowledgable wranglers through the golden aspens, take a sunrise hike with Selina looking out over the ranch from Home Mountain, try your hand at fly fishing with Philippe or help Chef Clyde prepare the evening meal.  Please drop Selina a line or give her a call for more information.
