Philippe Shapiro

I was born in Paris to an American father & French mother.  We moved to the Black Forest in Germany when I was 5.  In 1969 we moved to Westport, CT.  Following graduation I joined the Navy.   I returned to Conneticut and began working in restraunt business, Chef de Cuisine & Sommlierbefore  moving to NY to become chef of the Muesem of Modern Art from 1987-89.  I worked along side Michele Richard at  The Broadway Deli in Los Angeles during the 90’s. I made one final move to Colorado to work at King Mountian Ranch in 2000 before joining Chef Clyde Nelson in the winter of 2002 as the Chef de Cuisine.  

I aspire to be a Sommelier and enjoy expanding the wine cellar each season.  I enjoy fly fishing in my spare time and often share my catch with the guests in the evening.
